Our Story
Where did you come from?
Though we are based in Lancaster, UK, our performers come from all corners of the country. We were brought together through attending the same university, where we happened to meet and discover a mutual love of performance and circus arts.
While study kept us from committing to this passion full-time, a pipe dream formed: running our own circus business and sharing the joy of doing what we love. After two years and a chance meeting with Blackpool Tower Promotions, we know not to dismiss dreams so readily!
If you’re a local, you may know some of us from LUMACS (Lancaster University Magic And Circus Society). If so, welcome! Thank you for following us to this new venture.
How did you start out in the circus?
We’ll be the first to admit it’s a strange hobby. We would like to say we ran away with the circus as children, but for Artemis and Nyx, it was a casual circus group at their university that first kindled their love for circus arts. Hecate followed a similar path, but had the corrupting influence of an older sibling to get her started.
Will you ever get a sensible job?
Probably not, no.
For us, the circus is so much more than a job: it’s self-expression through physical artistry, an enjoyable pastime, and a fantastic way to meet new people. If that wasn’t enough, there’s the camaraderie of getting to spend time with close friends, pushing yourselves (and each other) to improve, all while working on something for which you share a mutual passion. We enjoy ourselves! And others enjoying themselves through our performances is very rewarding, too.
We know it’s not for everyone. But for us, an office could never compete (and juggling in offices is generally frowned upon).
